The challenge

Afa Dispensing Technologies develops, produces and markets trigger sprayers. Manufactured in enormous volumes, they sell in a competitive market where the price/quality ratio counts for everything. Afa was looking for reliable sprayers at a bottom-range price.

The solution

The development of a complete range of plastic sprayers, which would allow a maximum integration of functions. To this end, Afa stripped the design to the bare essentials, and started over. In close coordination with the production processes and production inputs, all metal components were discarded and each gram of plastic material was optimized.

People Creating Value

We were responsible for providing support in the validation and development of the conceptual designs. Examples include the connection between bottle and sprayer and the replacement of the metal spring with an integrated plastic spring.
